Comments Shares The Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes event has now gone live, and with it, the final batch of Moments of Triumph challenges have been revealed. An in-game achievement system commemorating landmark Guardian activities over the course of the game’s first year, each of the tasks in the Moments of Triumph list has an assigned points score, with new loot available at certain thresholds, from Sparrows, to emblems, to a rather pretty new gilded Ghost shell. Most Triumphs work retroactively, meaning that you’ll likely have completed a few already if you’ve been playing Destiny 2 for a while. But while some, like completing the campaign, are certainly straightforward, others require a bit of finesse – or at least a dash of canny optimisation of approach — if you want to complete them as efficiently as possible. Below, I’ve picked out these more nuanced or time-consuming challenges, and laid out exactly the quickest and cleanest ways to get them done. I’ve also explained how – if at all – they play into upgrading the new Solstice armour set that forms the backbone to some of the Solstice of Heroes event. You have plenty of time to complete your Moments of Triumph – points can be earned from now until the end of the Solstice of Heroes event on August 28 – but no-one wants to be rushing in the lead-up to the massive Destiny 2:

Helping gamers rage less and enjoy their games more. With a few weeks since my last heavy dose of Destiny I have found the grind to be a bit more entertaining and fresh. Who I ended up playing with, however, was a very different experience than when I first ventured into the Destiny universe. Most of my friends have moved on to other games, and using LFG sites for runs on The Prison of Elders or a Nightfall just seems like overkill.
So is it time for Destiny to get the dreaded m-word added to it? Thankfully I have an awesome stream community with a rotating door of people willing to jump in and play. So we played almost every level of The Prison and even a Nightfall with almost no talking. And every 30 minutes or so someone would have to leave and another person would cycle in. I will touch on why I think the raid went so poorly, but you get the point. I was playing with random people, nobody was communicating, and we were able to move fairly seamlessly because of the batch of viewers willing to jump right in.
What about the raids? The big point of contention whenever matchmaking comes up is how poorly it would work in the raids. To a point I think it would be problematic if not done properly, but I have a feeling my group suffered from an entirely different problem. While I think matchmaking would come with its own problems and challenges it would at least make the content more accessible and slowly let more players in the community potentially team up with people that know what they are doing.

Keep sounding off about it, and maybe someday some matchmade Fireteam mates will hear you, too. Instead, players would only likely be able to complete the raids with people they know and can communicate with effectively. Bungie writer Luke Smith stated: According to the Bungie man, these are simply placeholders put in place so that when the content hits in December the game will be better prepared.
He also mentioned that he was listening to those who want private matches. Certain bosses in Strike and story missions that were not receiving the right amount of damage were fixed via an update shortly after release. While feedback from players has led directly to changes in the way loot in the game works and what type of rewards Guardians will get for carrying out certain tasks as well as modifying the rotation of multiplayer maps in the Crucible. As Bungie has demonstrated they are willing to listen to feedback from gamers and issue fixes for bugs and exploits, such as the Loot Cave , incredibly quickly fans can be confident that additional changes could come into force in the very near future.

I am finding it really difficult to put my thoughts into words and explain them so here is a post on Bungie. To be fair, a part of that was because the raid group was up to 40 players in the beginning, now it’s The initial result was what we expected, faster setup times pre-raid You see, raids used to be a HUGE deal.

Pin 0 Shares Exciting. From the timed and somewhat unforgiveable nightfall strike to the endless trackable public events from Titan to Nessus, there has been an abundance of tasks for guardians to undertake. The power previously known as light level range is for the raid. What To Expect Spoiler alert! We are now going to talk about possible raid content.
Although none of it has been confirmed, it still contains lore-related information and campaign spoilers, so be warned! So who does this leave us to encounter in the raid? Well, it might still be a Cabal, and his name might just be Calus. It is believed this ship is the Leviathan itself, and Calus is there. Destiny 2 will have limited character transfer: Considering Ghaul is gone, it makes sense that Calus would now want to see the guardian responsible.
The first several hours of Destiny 2 are exactly what we, and we suspect everyone else that had played the original, expected. Since the first Raid for Destiny 2 goes live on Wednesday evening our current plan is to play that and get the final review done for the end of the week. Around 12 hours or so is our guesstimate for completion, but that total will vary for everyone.

With no wife around, and no friends in town, I had quite literally nothing to do for two days other than try and be productive by reading, writing, or working out. Or rather, I played Destiny the way it was meant to be played. Doing high level content. I used to be able to do this more naturally. A long time ago, I had friends still playing the game, and a wife not yet in med school. As such, my Destiny experience has mostly been single player for a while now.
My experiences with LFG over the course of the weekend were varied.

Destiny 2 Eater of Worlds Raid Lair How to prepare and what you need to know about the Destiny 2 Leviathan raid As with the likes of Vault of Glass and Wrath of the Machine with the previous game, the Raid offers challenges and rewards unlike anything else in the game. Here’s ways to prepare and things to know about Leviathan: Getting as close to max Power level will help as much as possible since Leviathan’s recommended Light level is In our experience, you can get away with some players in the lower range provided you have some players on average or higher than recommended, though by the end you’ll want to have a few levels up for the final encounters so they can stay alive and do more damage.
Similarly, don’t worry about classes too much.
Overview. Raids are the highest-level PvE activity available in Destiny. They require a fireteam of six players and do not feature matchmaking. Each raid provides players with unique weapons, armor, class items, ghost shells, sparrows, ships, emblems, shaders, and ornaments.
Gameplay[ edit ] Destiny gameplay Destiny’s style has been described as a first-person shooter that incorporates role-playing and MMO elements, but Bungie has avoided describing Destiny as a traditional MMO game. For instance, rather than players being able to communicate with all other players in the game or on a particular server — as is the case in many conventional MMO games — Destiny includes on-the-fly matchmaking that allows players to communicate only with other players with whom they are “matched” by the game.
To communicate with other players in the game world, players must use their respective console’s messaging system. A social space on Mercury was added with the House of Wolves expansion, but requires players to go undefeated in the Trials of Osiris Crucible mode in order to access it. Character progression and classes[ edit ] Players are able to improve their characters, referred to as Guardians, by gaining experience points EXP — when a set number of experience points are accumulated, the player’s character will “level up” and gain improved statistics which further enhance performance in battle.
Quests , including the “main scenario” quest line, are specific tasks given to the player by non-player characters which reward items and EXP. Completing main scenario quests progresses the overarching plot of the game. Destiny features three character classes. Each class has their own specific upgrades, perks, special abilities, and two sub-classes that allow the player to finely tune their individual characters to provide a different play style.
After choosing a class, players select one of three species for their character:
Destiny raid matchmaking is still being considered by Bungie
That would suck, right? Welcome to raids in Destiny. Destiny, the hotly-anticipated new game from Bungie , has elements from several different genres. Raids are encounters intended for very large groups of people that can take hours to complete. Raids almost always involve fighting your way through a challenging environment to kill an extremely dangerous boss monster at the end.

Destiny 2 – Argos boss fight strategy How to prepare and what you need to know about the Eater of Worlds Raid Lair As with the likes of Leviathan Raid , this activity offers challenges and rewards unlike anything else in the game. Here’s ways to prepare and things to know about Leviathan: Unlike the Leviathan Raid, there is no exploring of the Underbelly, working out how to get to the next encounter, or a strange checkpoint system; a door will be open from the outside of the setting as soon as you load in, the route through is linear, and you will start back at the last encounter you played if you quit out that week.
But like the Leviathan Raid, you will have a limited amount of revive tokens on Normal difficulty – meaning each player can only revive one player for that attempt. It will help to get as close to the max Power level as possible. Even though the recommended level is , and you can get away with reaching the end without being at the cap for most of your team, the end encounter requires a high level of damage output to make things go smoother.
As with the main Raid, Eater of Worlds is one of the few sources of gear that can take you to max Power level , so it’s worth replaying each week in order to level your character.

Sturm Why we love it: At a base level Sturm is just a great hand cannon. The extended barrel gives it a longer range than similar guns, and the extended mag lets you blast away for longer although is countered by a slower reload. Energy weapon kills also boost its precision damage until you reload. However, the real bonus here is that kills with Sturm will give you extra energy weapon ammo. It’s partnered with the exotic and will specifically reload it and it alone when you get kills with it.
So if you have both equipped, a little judicious juggling will constantly keep both guns topped up. Drang, by the way, is a neat side-arm for the Crucible. Reloading instantly after a kill will you give a brief period of invisibility, and Smooth Grip helps get that gun locked and ready quicker. This Scout Rifle is a boon for anyone looking to boost their speed but remain just as powerful. You might be familiar with it from the original Destiny, but for those coming into Destiny 2 fresh, this is an Exotic with a focus on agility.
Not only does it boost your sprint speed, but it also keeps your radar active while you’re looking down the sights, meaning your prepared for surprises and quick enough to avoid them. Not only does it hold eight rounds and fires rounds per minute – making it reasonably nifty for a hand cannon – its perk Sunburn fires explosive rounds, whilst Sun Blast makes Solar enemies explode, dealing extra damage as they do so.
